Electron Microscope
I created materials in OSL code and used vellum in Houdini with a procedural webbing code to create strange bacteria like microscopic balls.
Webbing Export after Vellum
OSL shader code plugged into output directly and rendered in Redshift
Object Node setup
Scatters spheres across a grid then used mountain to disjoint the surface
This setup takes the grid and the large spheres and uses them as the vellum surface. Afterwards, I scattered points across both the grid and spheres and transformed them up to fall on the geometry. I connected the points based on distanced, cleaned up geo, simulated via vellum cloth, and then exported the GEO.
Same procedure as the spheres but with more points and randomized scale
